“Fun” Runs
Spectrum Health Irish Jig 5K
Saturday March 21st, 2020 in East Grand Rapids
We had such a fun time when we ran this a couple of years ago, despite the unpredictable March weather. The course is extremely flat and runs right through beautiful East Grand Rapids’ neighborhoods.
- Registration Fee: (5k) $30
Lightpoint 5k
Saturday March 28th, 2020 at New Holland Brewing (Grand Rapids)
To kick start the launch of their newest beer, Lightpoint, New Holland Brewing will be hosting their first ever Lightpoint 5K. The race will start at the brewery and end in the beer garden with food, games and a pint of post-race Lightpoint!
- Registration Fee: $30 (Includes T-shirt and pint of beer)
Tulip Time Run
Saturday May 2nd, 2020 in Holland
The perfect run through the historic housing district in Holland, along streets lined with an unbelievable amount of tulips and waves of people cheering you on from the sidelines. This race is the perfect kick-off to Spring! Plus, there is no shortage of “fair food” to treat yourself to afterwards.
- Registration Fee: (5k) $40, (10k) $45
- Kids Fun Run: $15
The Color Run
Saturday July 25th, 2020 at Calder Plaza (Grand Rapids)
Known as the “world’s happiest 5k”, this run is a chart topper on the fun scale. The music, the energy, the crowds of people excitedly covered in colored chalk — you are sure to walk away happier and more colorful than you walked in. I’d recommend this race for any first time 5k’ers!
- Registration Fee: (Dependent on package) Ranging from $30-$50
- Registration opens SOON— *will update when officially available

“Might Require Some Training” Runs
Gazelle Girl Half Marathon
Sunday April 19th 2020 Downtown Grand Rapids
I may be biased, but this is my favorite Grand Rapids race through and through. It was the first half marathon that I ever ran and it couldn’t have been a better course (predominantly flat!) They’ve recently added the G.G. 10k distance which I am excited to participate in this year!
There are few things more empowering than running alongside hundreds of women bettering themselves with every stride they take. #GirlPower
- Registration Fee: (5k) $45, (10k) $55, (Half Marathon) $95
- PRICE INCREASE- 5/16
Hurt The Dirt
Saturday April 25th, 2020 in Rockford
“No crowds. No roads. No excuses. Just bring the hurt.”
Lace up for either a quarter marathon (one 6.55 mile loop), half marathon (2 loops) or full marathon (4 loops) through scenic hardwood and pine forests, across fields, along marshes and over Rum Creek. This race is sure to get you DIRTY.
- Registration Fee: (Quarter Marathon) $47, (Half Marathon) $57, (Full Marathon) $72
Still Fun… But Definitely More Experienced Races
